Individual Therapy
The Service
In individual therapy, we work one-on-one in a confidential, supportive, and collaborative space to explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and patterns that may be affecting your well-being.
We will work at your pace in a process tailored to your unique needs and goals. Together, we build insight, develop understanding, and strengthen awareness, coping strategies, and problem-solving skills to support your overall well-being.
How We Meet
Flexible access,
consistent care
In-person sessions are held at my Peterborough office, offering a private and grounded setting for therapeutic work.
Virtual sessions (phone/video) are available through a secure online platform for clients anywhere in Ontario, providing the same level of care, confidentiality, and connection from a place that feels most comfortable for you.
Both options are designed to fit your life and circumstances, rather than the other way around.
Adults, teens, and children — ages 10 & up.
Who I See
-
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. Individual therapy provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment.
I work with men, women, and people of all gender identities who are open to self-exploration and building insight and practical skills over time. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or a general sense of feeling stuck or unsettled.
Together, we will work to better understand the challenges you're facing, develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Therapy is tailored to your unique needs and goals, helping you gain insight, strengthen emotional well-being, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

The teenage years can bring unique challenges as young people navigate school, friendships, family relationships, identity, and increasing responsibilities. When stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or life changes become overwhelming, individual therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore these experiences.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate. I work alongside teens to help them better understand themselves, improve communication, build confidence, and navigate challenges in healthy ways. When appropriate, parents or caregivers are included as partners in the therapeutic process while respecting the teen's privacy and fostering trust.
Individual therapy can support teens experiencing:
Anxiety, stress, or panic
Depression or low mood
Self-esteem and confidence concerns
Friendship or relationship challenges
School-related stress and academic pressure
Family conflict or life transitions
Emotion regulation and coping skills
Identity exploration
Grief and loss
Behavioral or emotional concerns
Every teen deserves a place where they feel heard, understood, and supported. Individual therapy can help them develop the tools they need to navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive both now and in the future.
-
Children often express their thoughts and feelings differently than adults. Therapy helps young people understand emotions, build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop healthier ways to navigate challenges at home, school, and in their relationships.
You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support.

Here is what working together looks like.
The Process
The first conversation
We start with a free 15-minute phone call — no forms, no commitment. You share a little about what's bringing you to therapy, I share how I work, and together we get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit. If you have questions or hesitations, this is the place to bring them.
Settling in
Your first full session goes deeper. I'll ask about your history and what's going on for you right now, and we'll start shaping what you want to work toward. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we begin — we build the foundation together, at a pace that feels manageable.
What ongoing sessions feel like
Therapy isn't about fixing who you are. It's about creating space to understand yourself, your experiences, and the patterns that have shaped you, with your goals staying at the centre throughout. Some weeks that looks like steady progress. Other weeks it looks like simply showing up. Both count.
Together, we will collaboratively form a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and understanding, and support you in moving forward in a way that feels authentic and aligned with who you are.
